Exactly, when it comes to the Nobel Prize, conservatives need not apply.

Ronald Reagan should have gotten every last stinkin' one of these things for the historic achievements of bringing down the Berlin Wall and ending the cold war. Instead the Nobel folks give it to buffoons like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and Pres. (Who Me?) Obama.

They should just call it the Nobel Prize for Liberals Only. close(-)

I think it is not only possible, but likely that the Saucer People are not the cuddly little ET-type creatures we see in the movies, but are much more sinister in their motives than we realize. I also think this could be one of the primary reasons for not revealing their presence to the general public and keeping any hard evidence of their existence at bay...As Jack Nicolson said, "The truth, you can't handle the truth" After all, it really doesn't take much digging into the UFO lore to get the heebie jeebies scared out of you.

Just about every justification put forward here as to why there logically can be no et presence has been covered in the lore. For example, one poster said, "First of all, aliens would have to be stupid to come to Earth, because the US would want to take their technology to dominate the world...." Well, read the accounts of the Holloman Air Force Base landings that occurred back in the 1950s. Apparently the U.S. did strike a deal to receive technology in exchange for looking the other way while people, cattle, etc. were abducted.

Another poster stated, "Aliens always have 2 eyes, 4 limbs, 1 mouth, 1 nose, right? What possible explanation could there be for this except that they were invented by humans?" Well maybe, except there is the possibility that we were created by them....Again too shocking or disturbing to discuss openly, but one which is supported by the lore.

Then there is the reasonable, rational explanation of sleep paralysis for abductions. Fine and dandy, except some of the better abduction cases occurred while the victims were wide awake with multiple witnesses, e.g. Betty and Barney Hill, Travis Walton, Allagash River, the list goes on.

Even the comment, "Do you believe that Santa Claus rides in a sleigh with 8 reindeer to put presents under a Christmas tree? Sure, it could happen but probably not." Well, if there were thousands of serious reports of a guy in a red suit leaving presents under a tree maybe that too would we worth some serious consideration.

In some respects the UFO lore in total is a better story than what any science fiction writer could dream up...So is it just possible that sci-fi writers don't have to come up with it, or is provided by actual reports from over the decades, all the writers have to do is embellish and change the names. Such could be the case with this new movie, The Fourth Kind, after all does art imitate life, or does life imitate art? close(-)

Hey eddie, now you know how it feels:

I understand that the IRAQ debate has strong opinions on both sides but there are those who want to use the issue to stoke hate, division and violence. I wonder how the BUSH-haters will feel if they ever have to contemplate the consequences of their vitriol if some deranged assassin gets his fuse lit and takes the President out.

But in your world, I guess if someone had taken Bush out they would have done the country a big favor.
