But Obama really doesn't have that much true oratory skill. There's a difference between orating and lecturing, and Obama doesn't come across as any smarter than a Total Quality Management facilitator in a business course. The difference between Reagan and Obama is that even Reagan's enemies liked him, Obama's friends check six. close(-)

It's a little too nervy to tell people to wear jackets when the safety office took all the coat hooks out of their microscopic cubes because somebody hit their head on one getting up out of his chair so a "close call" report was written and grief counselers had to be called. Also, our offices are so refrigerated that the only way to keep warm is jeans and flannel shirts sometimes even in the summer. In Texas, for heaven's sake. Been trying to get them to turn the air down a few years now but the janitor can't speak english so he just nods and goes about his business. I've sat at my desk with pullover fleece, blue jeans, and my trusty Jon-E handwarmer next to my keyboard.

Since I'm a "pro" (cough cough), we're expected to work a little casual overtime, especially during surges. When you see budgets with scheduled casual overtime month after month, that's usually a warning sign. close(-)

I don't know whether it's the smaller fuselage diameter or the wide angle lens, but that Dash 80 pic sure shows the sweep of the wings. The whole sordid tanker competition debacle seemed symptomatic of an unhealthy industry without enough competition. close(-)
