This lunar eclipse was captured the morning of August 28th, 2007. As the sunlight is refracted through Earth's atmosphere, it casts a deep reddish-orange or even brownish color on the Moon. Each lunar eclipse reveals subtle differences in color based on the atmospheric conditions on Earth.
