Comet's Galactic 'Fly-By' Snapped By Spacecraft | Video

NASA's NEOWISE snapped a series of infrared images of C/2012 K1 (aka Pan-STARRS) in May 2014, when the comet was ~143 million miles away from Earth. The spiral galaxy, NGC 3726, is 55 million light years away, in the constellation Ursa Major, 2 trillion times farther than the comet. (Full Story)
